M. Michele Brown APRN CNP BC is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner with specialties in pediatrics, family, chronic illness and functional medicine.
Michele has 48 years of experience, advocacy, and leadership in healthcare. This experience includes pediatric health centers, public health, school health, home health, internal medicine/family practice, urgent care and emergency medicine.
She believes her background in Western/Allopathic medicine gives her a strong foundation but also identifies the transition away from continuity and individualized care. Her passion is basing her practice on empowerment of the individual in directing their health /wellness and "meeting" them where they are on that journey.
The Functional Medicine specialty allows each person to direct and be the integral leader in their health and wellness journey. Functional Medicine identifies the causes of illness and assists the individual with a unique plan for cellular healing not just pharmacology or algorithm-based care.
Michele has been recognized over the course of her career as March of Dimes Maternal Health Nurse of the Year and recipient of the Innovative Leader Award from Columbus Children's Hospital.
She has served on numerous community and nursing specialty boards. She has precepted many RNs, and Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioners over the years

When not working, she loves to travel, explore nature, hike, garden and spend time with her family and grandchildren.
